Oh my I have the best job in the world~ I am a college instructor !!!!
I love it, it is a lot of work but rewarding that is my reason I have not been posting~
But this week is finals and then I have 2 weeks off YEAH!!!! I plan on getting into my studio and first cleaning and then organizing and then creating so stay tuned~

Wow where does the time go?

I have been super busy, Oh My goodness:)

My graduation finally came through yeah it is a long story but I am officially a Marshall Graduate YAHOOO!!!!

I am working hard to launch my new jewelry line on ETSY I have several pieces made and have broadened my horizons from last time I had a shop on ETSY! More details coming~

I am working hard at Close to My Heart trying to be the best Consultant I can be!

I have been working with Provo Craft being an in-store Demonstrator and loving it~ It is a dream job that is just fabulous I want to say Hello to all of my cricut Friends--You know who you are!!!!

Still working at my church as their secretary, that is such a rewarding job it is truly a blessing to be in that position!

Me and my mom was involved in a car accident over this past weekend thankfully we were not hurt just very sore, we were checked out and everything came back okay~ Can you say GOD IS GOOD YES HE SURE IS!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I have officially graduated I am now consistently working towards my transcription degree(yeah I am crazy getting all of these degrees, I just love school I guess:))

Hopefully when It calms down I can get on here and post some pictures of jewelry, and my studio yeah I finally have it cleaned up and organized(almost) it has taken me a month to get it this way...CRAZY I know but I had just let it go and then did not know just where to start I was so overwhelmed but now it is just where I want it Clean~

A new adventure

Wow Have I been busy!!!!
Here is a little bit about what I have been up to
1-I finished school, I Graduated RBA(to add to my Medical Coding) with a minor in History,YAHOO!!!!!!!!
2-working towards my medical transcription degree
3-working at my church as a secretary
4-doing Cricut demo's at Michaels on Sunday's (But I def have to work on that during the week)
5-Scrapbooking trying to finish my Hawaii album before my summer vacation this year(it normally takes me 1 year to complete a vacation album)
6-working on Close to My heart workshops and classes
7-Doing some Major Spring Cleaning in my studio and room:) much needed LOL
8-Went to the Taste of Home cooking school--That was a lot of fun!
9-Getting ready for SUMMER-- planting outside
10-my new found passion well not really new just rediscovered... Jewelry making!!!

Yes on top of everything else I do I make Jewelry~ I am now thinking seriously about opening a shop on ETSY actually I had one a couple of years ago and it just got to be too much for me on top of everything else I had on my plate so I let it go:( but now I think I am ready to jump back in to the selling scene, the only thing is there is so many talented artisans on ETSY I don't know if I can compete but I think that is a risk I am willing to take~

I just need a fun hip name that if it were to become a successful Jewelry shop that the name would be perfect and would be recognizable~ I am having a hard time doing this as I just don't know what to name it, maybe it is hard because once you pick a name you can not change it (on ETSY) My dream is to be successful on ETSY and be able to do craft shows and fairs

I am making newer designs but some of my older designs will reappear in my new shop here are some examples (keep in mind this time around better pictures) and this is just a sample I have many more designs new and old designs~

Do you have any clue what I should name my shop? I have some ideas but nothing seems to be sticking I need something I can market with a logo and promotional items this business thing is hard stuff~

That is another thing if you have ever thought of opening up a shop on ETSY I would encourage you to do so but don't be like me (the first time) when you list items that does not mean they will magically sell, it is a lot of work and as much as I wanted to say it is just a hobby it was a real job to keep up with my shop~

Fresno my baby

I was just recently in a room full of women, friends, fellow crafters, mothers, and we would talk about scrapbooking, shopping, our favorite place to eat, our professions, our other hobbies, but somehow we always got on the subject of their children!!! How sweet it was to hear them talk about their little ones, what they eat, what they do, how they sleep, what they look like, then out would come the pictures... I loved hearing their stories, seeing their pictures but I felt left out of the circle of motherhood because I have no little ones:( then I remembered I have a baby he may walk on all fours and he may be a little hairy, he may like to sleep out under the stars and he may not be able to talk in human language,and yes he may be a kitten but he is my baby, he is spoiled rotten and he loves me, So when I was in the room with these mothers I said now that I have heard about your child can I tell you about mine? They was always so eager to hear my typical mommy story and when I said FRESNO a lot turned their heads and walked off but my new found friend understood she stayed and she listened we were away from home on a business training and she would say I miss my girls and would say and you miss your little one then when we were getting ready to come home she kept saying at least your little one will wait up for you:) I was one of those people that thought pets are pets animals and that is it if a person thinks and treat s the animal as if they are their children they are weird and have something wrong~ Wow how wrong was I-- animals hold a very special place in your hearts no they are not humans, they are animals but they are a part of the family and are very special!!!!!

May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Oh my goodness where does the time go? one minute it is April and the next it is May!!!!!!
Welcome to the May blog hop if you have come from Jen's blog you are on the right track-- WELCOME~

I have been so busy trying to finish up school(I graduate in a few weeks), work, my other job, CTMH workshops and business trips yeah April was BUSY~ I am hoping for a slower May

Because I just got back from a business trip I did a super super simple card (I am almost embarrassed to post this next to all of the creative projects, but because of the lack of time you are just going to have to get simple from me(:!!!! )

I used the sample pack of paper (another perk for being a consultant) used Zippidee pattern, cranberry cardstock and colonial white cardstock to create this card and of course the May stamp of the month (I promise some more detailed and embellished cards later in the month!)

Okay this upcoming weekend is supposed to be our liquid glass workshop~
Well I had to reschedule for Saturday July 17th but you will want to mark you calendars for the National Scrapbook Day PARTY/Workshop!

When: Saturday May1st

Time: 11:00AM

Where: Ona, WV

Why: New idea book release party- be one of the first to see new products from the summer 2010 book, make an exclusive project play a few games and eat some good food!!!!

Cost: FREE with a 25.00 purchase or 15.00 cost includes workshop kit and use of my stamps

Crop: 10AM-10PM (this happens to be prom season so if you need to leave and come back that is fine)

What do you get: (with a workshop only) A complete workshop kit, and a FREE summer idea book!!!

This workshop is open to the first 15 people CROP open to anyone so you are going to want to RSVP to reserve your workshop kit(if you can not make it to the workshop and want a private workshop you still need to RSVP to reserve your kit as I only have 15 kits made up)

What to bring:
if you have the following list it will help if you can bring it if you don't or don't have it you can always use mine!

paper trimmer
scissors
zig glue pen with wide chisel tip(you can pick these up at any craft store) or permanent glue pen or stick

double scrubber and cleaning mist
any stamps you may want to use

Please bring a dish or snack to share with the group (sweet, salty, crunchy, chewy, whatever you want it is a PARTY!!!!) Drinks, paper products, and cupcakes provided!

this month we were asked to spotlight any of the 4 new paper packs from the spring 2010 idea book I decided to use Veranda to create this simple but sweet card with a lot of firsts for me
now lets get to it

It is a 9 inch piece of cardstock scored at 6 inches to fold 3 inches over to create the card part
I did a ruffle at the bottom for a little flair
Used so sweet stamp set , and the veranda WOTG stamp set
filigree brads

juniper stamp pad
tulip stamp pad
creme brulee stamp pad
topiary stamping marker

The card is simple but sweet, and so easy to do
The firsts for me was this style card I don't know if it even has a name (It kind of happened by accident)
and the ruffle edge is also a first for me
I had lots of fun doing this card!!!

Lets Get Buggy Cricut Friday #1

Okay I am super excited about this new program how fun Cricut Fridays is going to be like a big crafting PaRtY!!!!!

For the first installment of Cricut Fridays I decided to try my hand at the new popular sweet treat greeting cards!!!!

I loved this card however the sweet treat cup AKA the candy mold is not big enough, I am still in search of the perfect mold, I have a single jelly bean inside but I thought mini m&ms or mini jelly beans inside would be better!

Close up: see the blue border hanging out, that is the trick to pull this out and then it opens the secret compartment to release your sweet treats without messing up your beautiful card!!

I used Paisley Cartridge(Love it)
I could not find Wilton candy molds but used a chocolate covered cherry mold from AC Moore's
this is super easy to make I am going to link a video to a very creative blog where I learned how to make these

I used paisley cartridge to cut the frog out at 3.5 inches with light cardstock I layered it with black CTMH textured cardstock to make the eyes and mouth
pressure medium and speed medium

I ran out of time but I am going to ink around the edges of the frog and card and maybe add an embellishment~ The possibilities are endless

April SOTM Blog Hop

Wow it is already April, Man how the time flies!!!

If you have come here from Annette's Blog you are on the right track, you can find the complete list at Helen's blog, this is a circle hop so just keep hoping until you get back to where you started!
Now are we ready for some spring fun? I think so after our long long winter it is really nice to see all of the flowers starting to bloom! This months stamp set is called flowerpot and it is so cute!!!!

This month I decided to make a little treat bag this would be perfect for a shower bridal or baby, a party, I will have a tutorial on this at the bottom of this hop keep reading after the link to the next blog and there will be a tutorial on the favor bag

I also made 2 mini cards 4X4 also used caboodle paper pack, and my threading water border punch by fiskars, bitty brads, flowerpot April Stamp of the Month

Favor Bag tutorial

Supplies

I started believe it or not with a 5X7 card blank
scor pal or any scor tool
adhesive
stamp set
inks
a boarder punch (I used threading water punch by fiskars)
Sissors
Crop-o-dile
ribbon
treats for the inside

Instructions

if you start with a card blank like I did, you will want to cut your card down, the width should be 4 inches and the length 10 inches (open) you could of course start with a blank piece of cardstock and cut it to 4X10
score paper on the 4 inch side at 1/2 inch on both sides
on the 10 inch side score at 5 inches (if you start with a card base this will be done for you) and then again at 5 1/2 inches
fold all of your score lines and use a bone folder to make the folds crisp
take your border punch and punch both sides on the 4 inches
place some adhesive(permanent is best, I use provo craft sticky strip, (red)) on one of the side flaps and the bottom flaps and then press your fingers to secure the side shut
repeat step 6 on the other side
punch small holes on both sides and place your ribbon through(you can leave this off if you want a box and not a bag)
fill with a gift card, candy, small treat and enjoy!

What I have been working on

Anniversary cards for my Aunts parents they will be celebrating 60 years of marriage this summer wow that is awesome!!! She asked if I could come up with some invites and thank you cards for this event(their children are planning a surprise party for them)
I was honored to get the chance to design an invite for them

I decided to use childhood portrait and soul mates with that's Amore paper pack all from close to my heart

The couple has been together 60 years, so I wanted to showcase that by using the cute image of the little boy and girl with the saying and they lived happily ever after

For the inside I typed up all the information then made matching thank you notes that her mom and dad can send out to their guests after the celebration is over

Then I got a wild hair and decided to make a little gift bag(the idea came from other CTMH consultants)

The package was complete I delivered them to my aunt on Friday she loved them, I wanted to share with you... inspiration or just to let you know what I have been spending my time on

Keep in mind these are very simple in comparison to other cards but I had to make 50 so I wanted something not too difficult but sometimes simple is elegant I think I achieved that!

The image on the gift bag was also from childhood portrait the frame was from true friends (Jan SOTM)

The Cricut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay if you have a cricut you know exactly what I mean, or at least I hope you understand... I love my bug(s) yeah I have 2, I use them all the time, I am learning more and more about the cricut every time I turn my bug on! I don't know how I scrapped without it all those years! I am currently saving my money for the Gypsy oh yeah then I think my little family will be complete I want to start a new blog program called Lets get Buggy Cricut Fridays, I will post a new cartridge, a new project, a tutorial, organization, my cricut station, and some inspiration, maybe some contests so you will want to be sure to stop by here on Fridays.... Yes I know today is Saturday but this is just a preview, next Friday will officially be the start of my Lets get Buggy Cricut Friday's Today I wanted to showcase two embellies I made last night using the new Paisley cartridge (Oh I love this cart)

Owl # 1 page#-42 cut at 5 1/2 inches
Owl-I used heavy cardstock (CTMH textured) for the base so I used the multi-cut function on the E with my pressure at medium, speed at medium and blade housing at 5
I cut all of my layers and used my zig glue pen for the bigger pieces and my X for the smaller pieces like his feet and stripes!
I used American Crafts pattern paper for his wings

Zebra page #-71 cut at 8 inches
Zebra- I used heavy cardstock for the base (CTMH textured) I used the multi-cut function on the E with the pressure at medium and speed at medium blade housing at 5
The car was cut with light cardstock from HL so I removed the multi-cut function and just cut it out once with all the rest of the settings the same- the flower is CTMH textured cardstock the same color one side is darker than the other so I used the lighter side as the center of the flower
Look closely at the zebras face you may see a little sparkle a nose ring( I am not a big fan of nose piercings personally, but I thought this zebra looked like she needed one, it totally works for her) I used bitty sparkles from CTMH

Perfect for a sweet 16 card or layout or a new car layout

Check out her bling... I can only imagine her rocking out in her new car to some fun music!

Both images were cut using my Expresssion

This cart is great for card making and layouts I think the images are very chic and girly but I can see some of the images being used for boy projects just change the colors! Caboodle and a little boy

My church has been praying for this little boy who was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor, he is only 6 or 7 some of his family comes to our church. Our Sunday school class decided to make a little care package for the little boy, I received a phone call on Saturday asking me if I could make a card that was for the care package I said sure, When I got off the phone with her I went straight to my studio and created these, they chose two one for the little boy and one for his family.

I had so much fun creating these cards, when I got this stamp set I had no idea what I was going to do with it as I don't have any little boys around, other than using them for workshops and home gatherings I thought I would never use these stamp sets oh how I was wrong, and look it even went to a good cause I loved them all but they chose the top two cards! I have the third in my for sale pile!

Back from the RETREAT

And were we CREATIVE!!!!

So much fun I got 14 double spread layouts finished, it was a blast but boy am I tired~
There was 22 ladies and we all had so much fun catching up from last year, getting our scrap-booking done, and planning next years Retreat! We got a welcome gift, 1-2 door prizes everyday, 1-2 gifts everyday normally as we came in the next morning there was something else on our tables!
I want to plan a Huge retreat from Friday through Monday (right now this is a dream but maybe some day) with
-1 class on Friday evening
-2-3 classes on Saturday
-2-3 classes on Sunday
-1 class on Monday
-Gifts
-Prizes
-crop time
-at the end to give each participant a "diploma" for completing all the classes
-the price would include Food for dinner, lunch and dinner Saturday, Brunch and dinner on Sunday, and on your own on Monday
-30-40 croppers
-separate crop space from make and takes and from eating room
-cabins would be great but even at a lodge or hotel
lets see I can see all of this it is just the actually coming true part but we are working on it!! It will probably be a couple of years away I have a lot of planning to do~

Be Creative Retreat

For the weekend of nonstop Creative Sessions, Crop Time and just time with the Girls!!! I am so excited from Friday-Monday I will be Creating and Being "Creative" I received the last postcard reminding me to pack(yeah I need to get on that, nothing like waiting until the last minute) She told us to get prepared for a fun relaxing weekend with a surprise!!! oooohhh what could it be? Oh well Guess I will have to wait until later to find out! I will be back on Tuesday with an update

I have always liked to alter things but I really like to take something old and make it new! My uncle gave me a brand new clock for my studio, really cute lime green (It will go with my lilac walls) but it had a prescription drug logo on the face of the clock, he said can't you make something for it, I thought about it and so I came up with this...

I cut an oval out using my CM cutting guides, Charm uppercase, dream big, I covered up the name of the drug and still have a really nice clock face!!! and in my studio it is always time to create!

Yeah I realize I am almost a month late but I have had this project laying in my studio waiting to be photographed so it has been done for a couple of weeks just not posted!

This week was so neat it was blues and green I thought the project turned out really neat, I added a touch of hollyhock just to make the image pop!

I made a binder to hold my office supplies for this color me Monday combination!

Dreams everyone has one but do we realize that they are possible through some determination and a little hard work! I have realized several of my dreams come true, and I have some more that are coming true!

Aloha

My absolute favorite place in the continental USA would have to be the islands of Aloha, Hawaii! I have been twice and plan to continue to vacation there, yesterday watching the morning news I could not believe what I was hearing, a tsunami! what? expected to hit Hawaii... What? my memories raced through my mind, as I began to pray for the people of Hawaii not only the residents but also the tourists. That the waves would not be as bad and they could get everyone to higher ground!
PRAISE THE LORD!!! The tsunami was not what we think of as a Tsunami with massive waves and devastation but more like a fluctuation in the tides! We need to pray and remember the people of Chile as they start to rebuild as we thought about those from Haiti!
I thought I would post some of my Hawaii pictures for you today!

In Hawaii everywhere you turn you see Gods beauty, and it makes you stand in awww that HE created all of this, the sunrise was, spectacular words can really not even describe it, the water how blue, beautiful! The beaches, the green mountains, all of it just breath taking! Being blessed enough to go to Hawaii has really made me be more Thankful for God's creation!

Working hard

Close to my heart is work but fun work I would say, I love my job... I can not say that enough!!!! I have been very busy getting my new business off the ground and it is working I have workshops scheduled up until December of this year, my customer base is growing!

I was recently at a co-consultant's blog Katie Orse when she gave some great advice to CTMH consultants about getting organized, and I took her advice and started me a mobile office in a binder! I take that binder with me everywhere stay tuned for some pictures(I created a cover for the binder using the color me Monday color combination)

One of my goals this year is to create a better blog! By better I mean easier to read, more exciting and appealing, and with more information! I have been working hard on creating upgrades to my blog all week and as you can see I have some new pages added the links at the top! Please stop by and tell me what you think! You can click on the link it will take you to a bio page, artwork page, calendar page, join my team page, and a current promotion page! I think it cleans the main blog page up a little by creating a smaller more condensed side bar! I may create more pages in the future but for right now that is about it!

A day late and a dollar short...

Well I am late posting this for Valentines day but you can always alter this project to make them for different occasions as they are super easy with the help of my new favorite toy...ummm I mean tool:) the Scor-Pal!
(Notice my cute little studio mascots)
Step 1- Gather your materials:
1-paper cut to 7 inches long 3 inches wide(colonial white)
2-stamp set of choice(So lucky)
3-stamp pads(bubblegum)
4-scor-pal
5-tape runner
6-scissors
7-Paper trimmer(I used a 12X12)
8-candy(kit-kat)
9-glue dots
Step2-
Cut your colonial white or base color to 3 inches across and 7 inches long(you will probably trim this when you are finished)

Step3:
Make your scor lines at the 3 inch mark and the 4 inch mark(1 inch wide can be smaller for smaller treats or larger for larger treats)
Step 4:
Place a glue dot on the back of the treat to adhere to the treat holder
Step5: (no picture)
place the treat in the middle of the scor lines on the treat holder firmly press the treat to the holder to secure treat to holder

Step 6: (no picture)
fold both ends of the holder to meet above the treat (will make a tent over the treat) adhere with tape, glue dot, ribbon, or staple! you may have uneven edges as you bring the ends up to meet in the middle sit the treat on a flat surface and make sure it is even and level if you have an uneven edge just simply trim that edge to meet the other edge!
Step7:
now that you have your treat holder made decorate it the way you want

Step8:
Enjoy your little treat!

I do not know who originally came up with this cute little treat but it was not me, I will not take credit for something that I did not come up with, I learned it from my upline!

I just am sharing my version of the treat I did not write down the instructions from my upline I was just going off memory!

I am not a big fan but if you know me I have done a whole lot better than I did in the past however it is really testing my nerves we have had snow in the forecast for the past 3 weeks and have it in the forecast for the next 2 weeks! I can not wait until spring!!!
However much I do not like the snow it can be pretty I guess so here are some pictures of the snow and my kitty enjoying playing! Enjoy the photos and think SPRING!

Happy Birthday Fresno

My Kitten turned 1 years old this past Sunday! Yes he is my valentines baby I just love that kitty and can not remember how my life was without him, I have enjoyed watching him grow up from a little little kitten into the cat he is becoming but don't get me wrong he is still very much a kitten he has so many toys including the hottest toy of the Christmas season zhu zhu pets yeah we went crazy trying to find him those little electronic hamsters but he loves them (he has 2) i would have to admit that he is quite spoiled, and gets what he wants when he wants it he loves to play hide and seek with his mommy(me), to run outside, chase bugs, he loves milk and treats, his toys, and to lay on the couch and watch TV his favorite show is Dancing with the Stars and American Idol:)

I have to add that he loved his tie and I plan on dressing him up more often how handsome is he!

Every Monday on Jeanette Lynton's Blog she has a little challenge, I guess you could say! Where she picks a different color combination and makes some beautiful projects using that color combination, so much inspiration there, a couple of weeks ago she challenged us to create a special project using her color combination and post it on our blogs! I am so busy with school and work both my day job and CTMH (Yes I view it as another job it is a business I am trying to build) that I am a week behind but that is okay at least I complete the challenge:) So this one is from 2/8/2010 and the color combo is chocolate, baby pink, tulip, and olive, I really like how this turned out!

Do I love Valentines day? Not as much as other holidays but it is fun the colors the chocolates, the flowers, the stuffed animals yeah it is fun but not my favorite:)
I did however make some little valentines for my family when they came for dinner last Thursday I also made some bigger ones for my two younger cousins! Display Boards Spring 2010

Spring Display Boards~ These are the ones I will be using at my workshops and clubs throughout the spring idea book January-April

As a new consultant these helped me to showcase are wonderful products and some projects you can complete with our papers!
I had a boards to showcase my upcoming workshops for the entire year and a sign up sheet in front of the board~ I have trouble getting people to sign up for things they are excited and will probably end up coming they just do not want to sign up no commitment, I will have to work on that... maybe some sort of incentive or gift for signing up for a workshop~
my hostess board this one is so cute, and it worked I got bookings in January so we will see how many more I can get from this cute board!
And Last but definitely not least my join my team board, I have stories from real consultants (I got them from the corporate website) and information from me personally! it got some looks but again no commitments this one should take a little extra thought since it is more than one party :) Hopefully I can get some people to look into this and join me on my fun adventure!

My new favorite project!

Checkbook covers! Yeah I absolutely love making these.... They are so much fun, you can make them to coordinate with your purse, checks, seasons or any stamp set that you love! I am making these for doorprizes for my upcoming idea book release party!

My First Memory Keepsake Box

Okay I love these at first I thought this is not going to turn out pretty but I love how it turned out! I used a level 1 paper pack and the included my stickease (emporium) and a retired My Originals card kit, the colors match and I think it turned out nicely! Enjoy!

Color Me Monday 2/1/2010

Color me monday is a blog post that Close to my heart founder Jeanette Lynton started to get us to use differnt color combos! Last week she encouraged us to participate in the color me monday challenge! I decided I would, however I am posting a week behind schedule due to my Busy Busy schedule! This weeks color combination is sweet leaf, baby pink, chocolate, and purples (I did not have the purples she requested but did have amethyst)

I made me a checkbook cover for my CTMH account I love how it turned out! Did you notice the cupcake, yeah I just had to have that stamp set!

I also decided to make a valentine using the same color combo except with pansy purple for a darker look I used So Lucky stamp set and Chocolate, pansy purple stamp pad, baby pink and sweet leaf!

A sweet Birthday

I love how it turned out I used a template from our how to book "wishes" it is like a file folder with a card inside you really do not even need an envelope! I may come up with a workshop in the future using this template!

Baby Girl shower

How sweet are baby showers, little ones coming to fill our lives with love, joy and happiness! I have a baby shower to go to tonight after much thought I decided to make her a mini album that will feature her baby each month for the next year! I think she will like it since she is a scrapbooker! I created the first two pages for her birth the first page will document name, date, weight, length and description the next page is a newborn picture, then each page after will represent 1 month until she is 1 year old! Wow That sounds like lots of fun getting started~
I have decided to start my very own club of sorts it will be the Cupcake stamper I wish card workshop featuring Jeanette Lynton's how to book called "Wishes"

I am still working on all the final details but how does this sound so far?

a club will consist of 6 members- each of which will make a minimum order of $25.00 one month in the 6 total they will get the chance to be a hostess (without the stress)
they will get to make 4 cards per club making a total of 24 cards, We will meet in April, May, June, July, August, and in September! As long as you make your minimum purchase you will receive the projects pre cut and ready for you to assemble if you can not make it to club night!
Here is an example of a workshop featuring caboodle paper, sweet leaf, and sorbet for the colors and different stamp sets
( what is included in the workshop: Paper, stamps, inks, adhesive, samples, you provide the creativity and the embellishments)

Project 365

Wow I can not believe it is already the 5th day of January 2010 wow! I have decided to give this project a go again this year! I tried last year and made it to February I was doing good until I missed a couple days photos then our power went out for nearly 2 weeks yeah not fun and nothing to photo so I got discouraged. Also I had not printed any of my photos to even begin scrapping them, so really I do not think I really did the project last year but this is the year to do it!

Well I will give you my plan and give you some encouragement!
My goals
-take 1 photo per day (7 days per week)
-do not get frustrated when I miss a photo just keep going
- print photos on a regular basis
- have one specific day and time to scrap that weeks photos
- do 7 different photos each week example(Weather, lunch, dinner, activity, family member, thing in the house, what is on TV or PC)

I think this year is going to be a good one to scrap and document the year hey it is a new decade! A lot is going on in the world! I can not wait till the end to look back on this and see what an accomplishment it truly is! I am trying to be better at blogging especially now with my new business Close to My Heart Stamping and Scrapbooking! I want to make a weekly post regarding the P365 pictures journals the ups and downs of the commitment new ways to complete goals new layouts and more! So please check back often and see what is going on in the PROJECT!

Veranda card workshop

A Thank you card great for friends, or family, simple enough to make in a flash yet embellished to make it look great!
This one uses the exclusive stamp set that comes with the WOTG set Veranda paper, filigree charms!

This next card uses the exclusive stamp set that comes with the WOTG to make a pretty flower, a just blooms white flower inked with buttercup, and a filigree charm for the center of the flower so easy yet so sweet!

This card uses the same stamp set to make a flower out of single petal stamp with a just blooms white flower for the outer part of the flower filigree charm for the middle

These are so fun to do I used veranda WOTG kit available directly through CTMH and their independent consultants it includes everything you need to create a card kit and scrapbook layouts add some extras and you can spread your WOTG out to make several projects!

These cards speak SPRING which needs to hurry up and get here! IT is in the low 20s upper teens today I am sure that it is colder other places I am just tired of the WINTER:( The hummingbirds, flowers, and colors of this set is a must have!

update from my first gathering

I wanted to tell you all that I had to reschedule my first gathering due to like 10 inches of S*N*O*W and my power went off the roads were trecherous so I said you know what I will reschedule for Jan hopefully we will have decent weather I am planning a idea book release party to go along with it so it should be fun! I am awaiting my large order for our projects we will be making 4 projects and the 2 projects from December it will be loads of fun already I have sent out my invites and received word that people are coming so I am going to be praying hard for good weather just for that day and weekend!
I will post details from the party later it is scheduled for the 23rd

Spring is coming.....

Well the spring Idea book that is:)
Sorry to get your hopes and my hopes up I am already tired of Winter and we have only been in winter for 8 days officially, I do not like winter you will probably find out in the future posts how much I really dont like it but enough of me venting on to the exciting stuff!

CTMH never ceases to amaze me in what they come up with each time a new book is released I think this is it they can not get any better than this and the next book comes out and I love it more than the prior! I just LOVE CTMH and all their products I have found myself telling everyone I know about close to my heart and my new business and passion. Some people look at me like I have just lost my mind and others are very interested in learning more.

The new idea book goes live on Jan 1st 2010 wow just 4 days to go.... I cant wait here is a picture of the front of the book check back each day until the 1st for more sneak peaks!

Wow, I can not believe I am actually selling my favorite stamping and scrapbook products! I am excited and nervous, anxious and happy all at one time! My first gathering is scheduled for Saturday December 19th, everything was great until they called for S*N*O*W yeah I said the little 4 letter word that gets me all worked up:( If you know me you know that I do not do snow I dont like it, I do not go out in it, I do not want to even watch it falling to the ground it just makes me a little nauseous LOL! Well at least I do not have to go far right, about 2 or 3 miles but what about everyone else I have not even got an official head count people keep saying I think I am coming, so I guess we shall see! I hope I have a decent turn out I am excited to show people my new business venture:) I will post pictures of the projects we will be doing later if my camera will work!

My Consultant kit is coming

I can hardly wait it is coming today should be here before noon:)

Now I will feel like a real consultant, I already feel like a consultant but you know it will be better because I will have my yummy goodies and supplies!

I have big plans for this blog and my new business, I will be hosting some Workshop kits, idea book plans, parties, and so much more! I also plan on doing a monthly or quarterly newsletter more details to come!

December is here only 21 days until Christmas!

I really need to get to making my Christmas cards:} I have just been so busy with 2 now 3 jobs, and 2 online school programs...WOW I just did not realize how busy one person can be!

I just wanted to share my excitement with you on my kit coming pictures to come!

Black Friday

I never understood why they call the day after Thanksgiving Black Friday....
...When I began working Retail 6 years ago I realize Black Friday is the nicest way to put the nightmare that is Black Friday!

I never had any really major problems when I worked at the Dept. store at the mall my first year I found it to be so comical 2 grown women arguing and fighting over a 10.00 sweater "It is mine I had it first"..."no I am so sorry you are sadly mistaken that sweater is MINE" Yelling and holding up the line Had to call security and all and in the end they both got a sweater.

I really don't need anything bad enough to wait in a 3 hour line( happened last year) or fight someone over it, I would give the product to the other person it is just not worth it to me.

Do not get me wrong I LOVE shopping black Friday I don't know if it is the thrill of getting up early and waiting to get in the mall I really don't go shopping with an item in my mind that if I do not get it the world is going to end I am pretty flexible.

This year I will be shopping from 4AM-7AM and then heading to Hobby Lobby to work until 4 PM then I think it would be safe to say I will be calling it a day!

I actually typed this up on Thanksgiving day so I will be back later with all the details of my shopping trip and working trip

Oh how I love stamps and cupcakes!!! There is nothing better than a new stamp set from CTMH and a freshly baked cupcake with white frosting, YUM!!!!

I decided to start a blog to showcase a new journey in my life!

I am signing up to be a Close To My Heart Consultant (CTMH) I am so excited I can not wait to receive my consultant kit packed with yummy supplies, Then I will begin to do at home parties, parties to go, and workshops.

Busy stampers club
I am planning on starting an online workshop where you can pay through paypal and get your supplies shipped directly to your door complete with a full set of instructions/tutorial, where you can make your project in the comfort of your own home!...

this is where you would commit to buy a certain amount of money for 6 months at the end you get your hostess deals!...

Party to go
